BH206 can be used as purely fingerprint scanner with all Herofun's standard software. The smart card reader in BH206 can handle any ISO7816 compatible smart card and can also be used as a standalone smart card reader.

It offers every essential feature packed into a slim and compact form factor making it ideal for the high-speed fingerprint capturing required in civil and criminal IP projects. BH206 ensures high quality image capturing using automated image quality verification processes combined with halo effect and ghost image elimination techniques.

Fingerprint scanner and smart card reader can be combined to do two-factor authentication. Registered fingerprint is can be stored on smart card (carried by user) which is read into PC to match with a freshly captured fingerprint from fingerprint scanner at the time of authentication.
